How to make blackberry peach cobbler

Now that you’ve gathered your ingredients, it’s time to make the cobbler. All you have to do is follow the steps below:

The first step is to place your butter in a 9×13 inch pan and place it in the oven while the oven preheats to 350 degrees.

In the meantime, wash your berries and peaches. Peel and slice your peaches. Toss the fruit with sugar, if desired.

Mix your flour and sugar in a medium bowl before mixing in the milk and vanilla. Stir until well combined.

Once the butter is melted, pour the batter over the butter. Top with the berries and peaches.

Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, unsalted
  • 3 cups of blackberries
  • 2 fresh peaches, or one 15oz can drained
  • 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar, divided
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Place the butter in a 9 x 13 inch pan and place in the oven while it preheats to 350 degrees.
  2. Wash the berries and peaches. Peel and slice the peaches. Toss the fruit with 1/4 cup of sugar. Set aside.
  3. Mix the flour and remaining sugar together before adding the milk and vanilla. Stir until well combined.
  4. Once the butter is melted, pour the batter over the butter. Do not stir. Top the batter with the fruit and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Serve with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

If using canned fruit, make sure to drain well. You may also want to use less sugar.

If using only one type of fruit, shoot for around 4 cups of fruit total.
